I had the pleasure of photographing an incredible engagement session last night in Old City Philadelphia, and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect evening. Old City is one of my favorite places to shoot — it’s full of history, charm, and so many picture-perfect spots that make every session feel unique.
We started off the session in Independence National Historical Park, surrounded by the iconic sights and rich history that make Philadelphia so special. The soft glow of the evening light against the brick pathways and historic buildings created the perfect backdrop as we eased into the session. The couple’s natural chemistry and easy laughter made my job so easy — they were completely at ease with each other, which made for some beautifully candid moments.
From the park, we wandered through the cobblestone streets of Old City, stopping along the way to capture the charm and character of the neighborhood. The historic row homes, classic brick facades, and tucked-away alleyways gave us so much variety to work with. Every turn seemed to reveal a new hidden gem — ivy-covered walls, vintage street lamps, and even a few quiet corners that felt like they were made for this session.
I’m so excited for their wedding later this year at Cescaphe Ballroom — it’s going to be such a beautiful day!
