If I have photographed your wedding, or you attended a wedding I’ve photographed over the past 5 or 6 years, there’s a good chance you’ll recognize Kelly or Craig. Both of these two are amazing wedding photographers, and I’ve had the pleasure of working with them at many weddings. A little less than a year ago, during a weekend that had both Kelly and Craig work for me at separate weddings, I realized just how similar their paths were, and how perfect for each other they would be. I started talking up Kelly to Craig, and vice versa. I thought they should grab a cup of coffee and see what would happen. Less than a year later, they were planning a wedding- but not just any wedding- a surprise wedding.
They came up with the idea to get their closest family down to the beach where Craig was going to propose to Kelly (which had already happened a week prior, but no one knew). So here I am, on Sunday, standing at the entrance to the beach, waiting for Kelly and Craig’s family to show up for the surprise proposal. Once they arrived, I handed them each an envelope, and told them to open them at the same time. What was inside the envelope was a save-the-date for their wedding… which was scheduled for 4:30pm. After everyone wiped away their tears, I had to hurry them up to their cars to make it over to the church, where Kelly and Craig walked in side by side, and we all witnessed the most beautifully touching ceremony with the people who mean the most to them in the world. It was a day I will never forget, and I hope these images can do them and their love justice. Here’s a little photo recap from Sunday in Brigantine:
